简介
Yong Soo Kang is the Director in Center for Next Generation Dye-Sensitized Solar-Cells, and is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Energy Engineering at Hanyang University. He received his BSc and MSc from Seoul National University and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Seoul, Korea, in 1976 and 1978. He completed his Ph.D from Tufts University, MA, USA, in 1986. He was a Senior and Principal Researcher in Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) from 1986 ~ 2005, and was a Director in Center for Facilitated Transport Membranes (Creative Research Initiatives Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology) from 1998 ~ 2005. He was the President of The Korean Society of Organic Solar Cells (2010), The Aseanian Membrane Society (2008 ~ 2009), and The Membrane Society of Korea (2008). He is the Member of The Korean Academy of Science and Technology and The National Academy of Engineering of Korea from 2006 ~ present, and is the Editorial Board of Journal of Membrane Science from 2004 ~ present. His research interests include dye-sensitized solar cells, facilitated transport membranes, polymer electrolytes and mass transport though polymeric materials. He has owned around 300 peer-reviewed papers and 50 patents, and gained awards including “Sang-Am Polymer Research Award” Polymer Society of Korea, “Medal for Scientific Leap” from the Government of Korea, and “Academic Achievement Award” from the Polymer Society of Korea, etc.
